Turkish defence giant Nurol Teknoloji acquires German company

Turkish defence company Nurol Technology, one of the world's leading manufacturers of advanced technical ballistic ceramics and one of the largest suppliers of armoured vehicles to Türkiye and NATO countries, has acquired a majority stake in German ceramic raw materials manufacturer INDUSTRIE KERAMIK HOCHRHEIN (IKH).

Nurol Technology CEO and Board Member Selim Baybaş stated that they have acquired a majority stake in the company and as a defence industry company with 100% Turkish capital, their acquisition of a well-established German company producing critical technologies is of great significance for the Turkish business world.

According to him, with the acquisition of IKH, they aim to not only strengthen Nurol Technology's leadership in the field of ballistic ceramics but also become a pioneer in the world in the field of advanced technical ceramics.

Marco Rainger, founder of IKH, said about this strategic partnership: “We believe that we will further increase our growth potential with the vision of Nurol Technology.

“By combining our expertise in the ceramics industry, we will focus on new innovative projects,” said Ranger.

This collaboration is just one company for Nurol Technology, which produces the lightest and highest level of protection platform armour for personnel as well as land, air and sea vehicles using advanced technical ceramics such as boron carbide (B4C), carbide silicon (SiC), alumina.
