Turkish education minister visits reconstructed schools in Azerbaijan's Karabakh PHOTO
The Minister of National Education of Türkiye, Yusuf Tekin, has paid an official visit to Azerbaijan’s Karabakh, accompanied by his Azerbaijani counterpart Emin Amrullayev.
The Turkish delegation toured several newly rebuilt educational institutions, including Secondary School No. 1 in Shusha, Secondary School No. 1 named after Mirzo Ulugbek in Fuzuli, and Secondary School No. 1 in Aghdam, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education.
These visits provided the delegation with a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art learning environments established as part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing reconstruction efforts in the Karabakh region.
Minister Tekin commended Azerbaijan for the rapid pace of infrastructure development in the field of education, noting that the transformation achieved within a relatively short timeframe reflects strong national resolve and effective governance. He emphasized that the modern, well-equipped educational facilities in these historically significant cities are instrumental in ensuring that future generations receive high-quality education and develop the competencies necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving global environment.
“The facilities I have seen today are a testament to Azerbaijan’s vision for its youth and its unwavering dedication to rebuilding not only physical structures, but the intellectual foundation of its future,” Tekin stated during the visit.
Minister Amrullayev expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support in the areas of education and reconstruction, highlighting the importance of such exchanges in fostering bilateral cooperation and sharing best practices.
