Turkish media continue to cover the outcomes of the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Gabala.
Turkish print outlets published articles emphasising the importance of expanding defence cooperation within the OTS framework, Caliber.Az reports.
The publications focused particularly on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s proposal to hold joint military exercises of OTS member states in Azerbaijan in 2026.
Turkish media described Aliyev’s initiative as “historic,” while the proposed exercises were referred to as the “Turan Exercises.”
Readers were also provided with excerpts from President Aliyev’s speech at the Gabala summit, highlighting the significance of cooperation among OTS countries in the defence sector.
