Turkish media: New round of Russia-Ukraine talks planned for June 2
A new round of negotiations on Ukraine may take place on June 2 at the Çırağan Palace in Istanbul.
According to the channel's anchor, “the parties had previously agreed to continue the negotiations. There are plans for these talks to resume tomorrow [June 2] at the Çırağan Palace,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the Turkish state broadcaster TRT.
The previous round of contacts between Russia and Ukraine took place on May 16 at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Residence, located on the shores of the Bosphorus.
The first face-to-face meeting in years between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations was held in Türkiye on May 16. That round of talks led to an agreement on a significant prisoner exchange deal based on a “1,000-for-1,000” framework. The exchange was successfully implemented in three phases over the past weekend.
