Turkish MP asserts strengthened unity of Baku, Ankara
Turkish MP, head of Türkiye-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Shamil Ayrim emphasized the unwavering unity between the two countries.
Ayrim declared that efforts by adversaries to destabilize the South Caucasus region are destined to fail, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Following the Shusha Declaration, which elevated Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations to a strategic alliance, Türkiye has stood firmly against such disruptive attempts. Ayrim highlighted that the robust unity between the two nations is now a significant force within the Turkic world.
"Mutual activities aimed at the development of the Organization of Turkic States are carried out at regional and international levels," the MP said.
He further noted that the upcoming informal summit of the organization in Shusha on July 5 will reaffirm this solidarity.
Ayrim also criticized France and other external forces, accusing them of having ulterior motives in the region.
"France, which was expelled from Africa, is seeking its benefits in the region by selling its weapons. Official Paris no longer has authority in other parts of the world and wants to use Armenia as its handmaiden. Of course, there are other states that did not want the Karabakh conflict to end," he remarked.
The parliamentarian added that Azerbaijan's influence on the global stage is steadily increasing.
