Azerbaijan Railways reveals Baku–Tbilisi train fares DETAILS/PHOTO/VIDEO
Azerbaijan Railways JSC has published ticket prices for the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku passenger rail service, which is set to resume operations on May 26 after a six-year break.
According to information provided by the company’s press service, the service will be operated using Stadler trains. The newly announced one-way fares vary depending on departure point, Caliber.Az reports.
The prices are set as follows: Baku–Tbilisi at 81 manats (about $48), Yevlakh–Tbilisi at 67 manats (about $39), Ganja–Tbilisi at 62 manats (about $36), Agstafa–Tbilisi at 57 manats (about $34), and Boyuk Kasik–Gardabani at 51 manats (about $30).
The preliminary schedule shows that trains will depart daily from Baku at 23:10, arriving in Tbilisi at 08:41 the following morning. Return services will depart Tbilisi at 21:00 and arrive in Baku at 06:24 the next day. Journey times include border and customs procedures, with one hour allocated at both the Azerbaijani and Georgian checkpoints.

The route will include stops at Baku Central Station, Balajary, Yevlakh, Ganja, Agstafa, and Boyuk-Kasik in Azerbaijan, and Gardabani Station and Tbilisi Central Station in Georgia.
Azerbaijan Railways noted that international fares are calculated based on the Swiss franc exchange rate and may fluctuate depending on currency movements. Prices are also subject to additional surcharges applied by each transit country, as well as variations linked to weekends, holidays, and seat selection.
