Turkish opposition leader plans to visit Syria to address refugee crisis
Spokesman of Türkiye's leading opposition Republican People's Party Deniz Yucel has said that Chairman of the party Ozgur Ozel is planning a visit to Damascus, Syria, in July.
“Chairman of our party Ozgur Ozel intends to visit Damascus during July. We believe that Türkiye and Syria can solve the refugee problem together at the negotiating table. Everyone should demonstrate the will not to have a refugee issue in Türkiye,” Yucel stated, Caliber.Az reports citing the Turkish media.
The visit aims to foster dialogue between Türkiye and Syria to collaboratively address the ongoing refugee crisis. The party emphasises the importance of negotiations and mutual cooperation to find a sustainable solution.
