Russian defence ministry reports major strike on Ukrainian drones, guided bombs

The Russian Defence Ministry has announced that over the past 24 hours, its air defence forces intercepted and destroyed six guided aerial bombs and 252 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones. 

“The air defence systems have successfully neutralised 6 guided aerial bombs and 252 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media. 

Since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation, Russian forces claim to have destroyed:

663 aircraft 

283 helicopters

66,058 unmanned aerial vehicles

612 surface-to-air missile systems

24,069 tanks and other armored combat vehicles

1,572 multiple rocket launcher systems

26,719 field artillery guns and mortars 

37,392 units of specialized military vehicles
