Kazakh president holds talks with top Azerbaijani cleric

On the sidelines of the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Caliber.Az reports via Akorda.

Tokayev emphasised that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have similar positions on promoting interreligious dialogue and strengthening trust between peoples and states.

The head of the Kazakh state expressed confidence that the shared desire to promote interreligious understanding and interaction will serve as a solid foundation for a long-term partnership between the two countries.
