Armenia, Türkiye discuss development of regional connectivity in Istanbul
On June 28, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan, met with Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, to discuss opportunities for developing regional communication and prospects for potential cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting took place during Khudatyan’s visit to Istanbul to attend the Global Transport Connectivity Forum 2025, a key event focused on improving international transport networks, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The meeting comes amid ongoing regional efforts to enhance connectivity and improve transportation corridors across the South Caucasus and neighbouring regions. Although diplomatic relations between Armenia and Türkiye remain limited, both sides have in recent years engaged in cautious dialogue aimed at normalisation and economic engagement.
Minister Khudatyan is in Istanbul to take part in the Global Transport Connectivity Forum, an international platform bringing together officials, experts, and stakeholders to discuss sustainable and integrated transport solutions across borders.
