Armenian investigators charge 12 following fatal capital shootout
Criminal proceedings have been launched against 12 individuals following a deadly shooting in Yerevan, authorities said.
According to the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the suspects face charges including murder, the attempted murder of seven people, hooliganism involving the use of weapons, and illegal arms trafficking, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Investigators confirmed that searches were carried out at more than 40 locations across the Armenian capital as part of the ongoing probe.
The shooting took place on February 18. Seven people were wounded in the incident, and one of the injured later died at a medical centre.
Authorities in Armenia say the investigation remains active and further details will be released as the case develops.
