Chinese humanoid robot maker eyes Central Asia for AI expansion
Chinese robotics company Galbot, a developer of humanoid robots, is planning to collaborate with Central Asian countries to deploy embodied artificial intelligence (AI) systems across the real economy and healthcare sectors, according to Kazakh media.
Zhao Yuli, Galbot’s Director of Strategic Development, said the company aims to leverage its experience in implementing robotics in China to expand partnerships throughout the Central Asian region. The company is already receiving foreign orders for industrial robots.
“Our solutions for industrial, commercial, and healthcare applications have now reached large-scale practical deployment,” Zhao stated.
In China, Galbot has already introduced a network of “smart pharmacies,” where humanoid robots perform pharmacist duties during night shifts. Company representative Wu Wentao explained that this automation allows 24/7 processing of online medication orders without delays, reducing the workload for human staff.
Galbot also plans to integrate humanoid robots into medical facilities, where the machines will conduct initial patient interviews, analyse symptoms, and then guide patients to the appropriate doctors.
According to company leadership, Galbot’s advantage stems from its proprietary database, which contains tens of billions of data points generated through synthetic modelling. Using a Sim-to-Real method, the company transfers AI training algorithms from virtual simulations to real-world environments, enabling the creation of the world’s largest embodied AI model.
This expansion reflects Galbot’s strategy to bring its humanoid AI solutions, already proven in China, to industrial, healthcare, and commercial applications in Central Asia.
