Ministry: Russian air defences down 12 Ukrainian drones over five regions

Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 12 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over several regions of the country on the morning of February 21, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The ministry said the drones were shot down between 7:00 and 9:00 Moscow time, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the statement, five drones were intercepted over the Rostov region and three over the Krasnodar region. Two drones were downed in the Belgorod region, while one each was destroyed over the Astrakhan region and the Volgograd region.

The ministry did not provide details on potential damage or casualties.
