Türkiye to host event commemorating Khojaly genocide victims
A ceremony commemorating the victims of the Khojaly genocide will be held on February 25 at the conference hall of the Public Relations Office of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) in Ankara.
The event, marking the 34th anniversary of the tragedy, is being organised by the Turkish-Azerbaijani Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation (TADİV), a non-governmental organisation based in the Turkish capital. It will be held under the patronage of the Turkish parliament, with organisational support provided by Azerbaijan’s embassy in Türkiye, local media reports.
The human rights commissioners (ombudsmen) of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are expected to attend, along with members of parliament, diplomats and representatives of civil society.
