Private helicopter crashes in Russia’s Amur region, three on board missing updated
A privately owned Robinson helicopter has crashed in Russia’s Amur region.
According to SHOT, three people were on board the aircraft: the pilot, an employee of the Investigative Committee, and a police officer. Preliminary reports indicate they were returning from operational search activities.
The exact location of the helicopter remains unknown, and the fate of those on board is still being clarified. Initial information suggests the pilot lost control due to adverse weather conditions, causing the helicopter to crash about 14 kilometres from its departure point.
Earlier reports said the helicopter had taken off from a logging site near the village of Amaranka and was heading toward the village of Romny.

A helicopter carrying law enforcement personnel has gone missing in Russia’s Amur Region, prompting an ongoing search operation, local authorities said.
The aircraft disappeared approximately 130 kilometres from the village of Amaranka in the Amur Region. According to preliminary reports, one pilot and two law enforcement officers were on board at the time of the incident. The group was reportedly returning from official operational duties.
The press service of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office told TASS that the helicopter was transporting one pilot and two representatives of law enforcement agencies who had been involved in operational-search activities.
