Türkiye detains 346 suspects in major anti-drug raids
Türkiye’s Interior Ministry has announced the results of a large-scale crackdown on drug trafficking conducted across five provinces, leading to the detention of 346 suspects accused of narcotics distribution.
The coordinated operations, reported by TRT Haber, were carried out at 93 separate locations and involved a substantial law-enforcement deployment, including 635 police officers supported by 13 specially trained detection dogs.
Authorities said the raids resulted in the seizure of 83,625 psychotropic tablets and 11 kilograms of narcotic substances. Investigators also confiscated a considerable number of unlicensed firearms, including pistols and hunting rifles, along with drug-consumption equipment and high-precision weighing scales believed to have been used in trafficking activities.
