Tehran, Doha coordinate positions on key regional issues
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister, to discuss the latest regional and international developments, according to a report by Mehr News Agency.
During the talks, the two diplomats reviewed recent progress in indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States. Both sides emphasised the importance of maintaining ongoing consultations and close coordination in order to support diplomatic initiatives across the region.
Araghchi and Al Thani reaffirmed their commitment to dialogue as an effective mechanism for easing tensions and advancing mutual understanding on key issues affecting West Asia.
The discussion underscored continued coordination between Tehran and Qatar in assessing political developments, while also aligning their positions on broader international matters.
