Drone flights reported over Tatarstan, attack attempt foiled photo / video
Drone activity was recorded over the city of Almetyevsk in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan on February 21, amid what authorities described as attempted attacks targeting local industrial facilities.
One unmanned aerial vehicle was detected roughly 600 meters from the Radiopribor plant, an enterprise that manufactures electronic systems used in aviation, according to ASTRA Telegram channel.
Officials said the air defence systems responded promptly and successfully neutralised the threat. No injuries were reported, and operations at enterprises across the district continued without interruption.
Almetyevsk district head Guzel Khabutdinova addressed residents, stating that there is currently no danger to the city’s population or infrastructure. She urged citizens to remain calm and rely exclusively on official sources of information.
The Radiopribor plant produces equipment for both the aviation and railway industries.
