Russian air defence shoots down 31 Ukrainian UAVs across several regions
Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 31 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) between 9:00 and 14:00 Moscow time on February 21, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The drones, reportedly of aircraft type, were shot down over various regions in Russia, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry.
The ministry's statement confirmed that 11 UAVs were downed over the Republic of Tatarstan, while 11 others were intercepted over the Belgorod region. Additional interceptions occurred in the Kursk region (4 UAVs), Ulyanovsk region (2 UAVs), Penza region (2 UAVs), and Samara region (1 UAV).
Details regarding the potential impact of the drone strikes, including any damage or casualties, have not been disclosed.
