Turkish police detain 30 suspects in anti-crime operation in nine provinces VIDEO
Turkish law enforcers have launched a major operation, codenamed "Mahzen-49”, against organized crime, arresting 30 suspects and seizing a significant cache of weapons and drugs.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made the announcement on his X account on May 27, Caliber.Az reports.

The operation targeted nine provinces across central and northern Türkiye, with a central focus on Cankiri province.
"During the operation in Cankiri, Ankara, Istanbul, Rize, Kastamonu, Kirikkale, Corum, Duzce, and Sakarya, 30 suspects who were members of an organised crime group led by ringleader Durmus Gormez were detained. As a result of operative-search measures, 15 unlicensed pistols, 10 unlicensed rifles, a large amount of money and drugs were seized," the report says.
