Turkish police seized nearly 200kg of drugs in Istanbul
Turkish police have carried out an anti-narcotics operation across several districts of Istanbul, including Büyükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, and Avcılar.
The investigation identified production and distribution points following technical and physical surveillance, Caliber.Az reports, citing TRT Haber.
These sites were located in two residential buildings, one vehicle, and a warehouse.
The narcotics crimes unit said simultaneous raids were conducted at all locations, resulting in the detention of two suspects.
During searches, law enforcement officers seized 174kg 750g of skunk weed, 1kg 206g of cocaine, precision scales, as well as 170g of gold—believed to have been obtained through criminal activity—and around 5,000 Turkish lira ($111).
The detainees have been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
