Türkiye hits right note with first musical road VIDEO
Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has announced that the first musical road on the Nallıhan–Beypazarı state highway, offering drivers a unique blend of music and safety, was unveiled.
The innovative “Melodili Yol” (Melodic Road) has been installed in the Nallıhan district of Ankara. As vehicles travel at a steady speed, they activate road grooves that play Mozart’s iconic Turkish March, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

Yola yerleştirilen işaretlemeler ve oyuklar sayesinde sabit hızda seyreden araçlar Mozart’ın Türk Marşı’nı duyacak.

The musical tune is produced by vibrations generated when tires pass over strategically spaced ridges embedded in the asphalt. Uraloğlu explained that the design is both entertaining and functional.
The road markings or grooves, placed at calculated intervals, create vibrations that turn into audible melodies—provided the driver maintains a consistent speed. This serves as both a safety measure and a novel driving experience.
