Türkiye's Antalya hosts 7.7M air travelers in Jan-August

The number of tourists arriving in Antalya by air between January 1 and August 5, reached 7.7 million.

According to the statement made by the governor's office, tourists enjoy their holidays in Antalya, which is among the most important tourism destinations in the world, TRT Haber reports.  

The number of foreign tourists coming to the city, where healthy and safe tourism services are offered with the Safe Tourism Certificate, increased by 91 per cent between January 1 and August 5 compared to the same period of the previous year.

The planes have carried 7.7 million tourists to Antalya and Gazipaşa airports so far. In the same period of 2021, the number of tourists was recorded as 3.7 million.

In the first five days of August last year, the number of tourists entering Antalya by air was 311,089, compared to 388,431 in the same period this year.
