Türkiye's ASELSAN completes successful live-fire tests of GÖKTAN project
The Turkish ASELSAN defence electronics company has successfully completed live-fire tests of its GÖKTAN project, designed to enhance the capabilities of TOLUN munitions launched from aerial platforms to engage targets on the ground.
The live-fire tests took place on February 18, with TOLUN munitions accurately hitting their designated targets, showcasing the precision and effectiveness of the system, Caliber.Az reports via ASELSAN’s message on X.

The GÖKTAN project involved the integration of a rocket engine with TOLUN, along with the development of advanced fire control and management systems, as well as mission planning and firing information systems. During the trials, TOLUN munitions successfully deployed their wings after detaching from the rocket engine, ensuring optimal performance during target engagement.
Developed under ASELSAN's main contract in collaboration with DELTA-V, GÖKTAN is designed for independent, platform-based interception of critical targets. One of the most impressive features of the system is its ability to conduct 360-degree firing without requiring platform maneuvering. This allows for enhanced flexibility and effectiveness in dynamic combat scenarios. Furthermore, GÖKTAN can engage multiple targets, conduct inclined fire, and perform sequential shooting, providing a versatile and powerful solution for modern warfare.
ASELSAN's successful GÖKTAN live-fire tests mark a significant step forward in Türkiye's defence capabilities, particularly in aerial strike technologies and advanced weapon systems.
