Türkiye unveils Ukrainian maritime drone MAGURA V5 PHOTO
Türkiye has demonstrated a model of a new Ukrainian marine drone MAGURA V5 at the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2023) in Istanbul.
Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus (MAGURA) V-type is a new generation multi-purpose unmanned surface ship developed by the Ukrainian state-owned company "SpetsTekhnoExport", RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Industrial Portal.
The drone will be able to perform a wide range of tasks - surveillance, reconnaissance, patrolling, search and rescue, mine warfare, fleet protection and combat missions.
The V5's hydrodynamic hull and sleek profile allow it to move stealthily with superior manoeuvrability.
"It is an affordable solution that can be easily launched from any remote location. The V5's unmanned control minimises the need for human resources to carry out missions, reducing potential fatalities while operating in austere environments," the developers said.
