Turkmen leader begins official visit to US

The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has commenced an official visit to the United States of America.

The visit underscores the importance both countries place on strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors and advancing a constructive partnership, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. 

Turkmenistan–U.S. relations are founded on principles of mutual goodwill and equality, and recent years have witnessed steady growth in collaboration.

American enterprises are actively participating in joint initiatives in the fields of agriculture and industry, reflecting the expanding economic ties between the two nations.

The visit is expected to further enhance business and investment opportunities, with major U.S. companies expressing keen interest in projects across Turkmenistan. Officials note that the partnership is grounded in mutual respect and trust, providing a solid foundation for sustained, mutually beneficial cooperation.

This official visit, taking place during the year designated as “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses,” is poised to open new avenues for the development of constructive interstate relations, reinforcing the shared commitment of Turkmenistan and the United States to deepening ties in political, economic, and cultural spheres.

The National Leader’s programme in Washington continues, with engagements scheduled to highlight strategic areas of collaboration and further strengthen bilateral dialogue.
