Two charged over alleged antisemitic TikTok videos in London

Two men have been charged with religiously aggravated harassment following allegations they filmed antisemitic videos for TikTok in London.

Adam Bedoui, 20, and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub, 21, both from Hillingdon in west London, are accused of travelling to Stamford Hill in north London—a predominantly Jewish area—on Thursday night, May 7.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), cited by the BBC, the charges stem from allegations that Jewish residents were approached, harassed, and filmed for social media content.

The Metropolitan Police said a total of five men were arrested in connection with the incident. Bedoui and Bousloub have been charged and remanded in custody, and are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. The remaining three individuals — two 20-year-old men and one 21-year-old man — have been released on bail.

Huw Rogers, chief crown prosecutor for CPS Direct, said: "Our team of out-of-hours prosecutors from CPS Direct worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring charges and it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.

"We have worked closely with the Metropolitan Police as it has carried out its investigation."

Bedoui and Bousloub face charges of religiously aggravated intentional harassment under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, as well as intentional harassment under the Public Order Act 1986.

Detective Superintendent Oliver Richter, the Metropolitan Police’s lead for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, said: "Our investigation continues but two men have been charged and will appear in court for their alleged part in this incident.

"We will not tolerate any form of hate crime against our communities."
