Two dead as armoured vehicle overturns at Czech WWII equipment exhibition

Two people were killed and several others injured when an armoured vehicle overturned at a World War II-era equipment exhibition in the southwest of the Czech Republic, according to the Czech police.

“Police are investigating a tragedy that occurred today near Horní Dvořiště in the area of ​​the now-defunct village of Svatomírov. During demonstrations of historical combat equipment, a military vehicle overturned and several people were injured. Unfortunately, two people died on the spot,” the police said on X, per Caliber.Az.

The accident occurred in the Horní Dvořiště area in southwestern Czechia, near the Austrian border.

The victims are said to have minor injuries, two of them are hospitalized. It is known that the event was private, the incident is being investigated by the police.  

Earlier, on January 12, it was reported that because of the collision of two streetcars in French Strasbourg, which occurred due to a mistake in the transfer of arrows, suffered about 50 people, 15 of whom are hospitalized. There were no fatalities as a result of the collision.
