Two dead, one injured in shooting at South Carolina State University
Two people were killed, and a third person was injured in a shooting on the night of February 13 at South Carolina State University, according to a statement from the school.
The incident occurred inside an apartment at the Hugine Suites student residential complex on the university’s campus in Orangeburg, according to US media.
Following reports of the gunfire, the campus was placed on lockdown, a measure that remained in effect for several hours afterward.
Authorities have not provided any information about a potential suspect. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is leading the investigation, the university said.
