Two drones strike US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Two drones struck the building of the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, the Saudi Ministry of Defence reported. A fire broke out on the premises of the diplomatic mission.
Multiple explosions were heard overnight on February 3 in Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that Tehran had begun targeting “American political centres” in the Middle East, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
According to Fox News, there were no personnel inside the U.S. Embassy at the time of the drone strike.
NewsNation journalist Kellie Meyer, after speaking with U.S. President Donald Trump, wrote on social media platform X that he had promised to respond in the near future to the attack on the embassy and the deaths of six American servicemen.
