Two explosions rock wood processing plant in central Romania

Two powerful explosions struck the Kronospan wood processing plant on the outskirts of Brașov, central Romania, on the morning of July 22, triggering a major fire and a large-scale emergency response.

According to local news outlet BizBrașov, the first explosion occurred at around 06:25 Baku time, sparking a fire at the facility. While firefighters were battling the blaze, a second explosion occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. local time, destroying the roof of one of the plant's buildings, Caliber.Az reports per Romanian media.

Multiple firefighting units have been deployed to the scene, with additional crews called in from the neighbouring Covasna County to assist in the operation.

Authorities have not yet reported any casualties, and the cause of the explosions remains under investigation.
