Two killed, 14 injured as Belarusian military truck crashes VIDEO
A Belarusian military MAZ troop transport truck was involved in a road accident in the Mogilev Region, leaving two servicemen dead and 14 others injured, according to the country's Investigative Committee.
The crash occurred on the morning of July 24 on the Osipovichi–Baranovichi highway, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a bend, causing the vehicle to veer off the road into a ditch and overturn.
A criminal investigation has been launched, and investigators are working at the scene to establish the circumstances of the crash.
Belarus' Defence Ministry said it has opened an internal inquiry into the incident.
The ministry identified the victims as contract serviceman Junior Sergeant A. V. Shabunevich and conscript Private K. A. Kiba.
