The trip forms part of a wider state programme that includes a series of meetings.
King Charles addressed the US Congress, reiterating the importance of the NATO and AUKUS alliances to deepen technological and military cooperation.
Trump congratulated King on his Congress speech, calling the history and bond between the US and UK "a friendship unlike any other on Earth."
He said American states and cities still bear the names of their UK links and references to Queens, New York, where he grew up.
