Two missing after cargo ship sinks off China’s Guangdong coast

Two people are missing following a collision between a cargo ship and a container vessel off the coast of Guangdong Province in southern China, Xinhua reports.
The incident occurred overnight from October 25 to 26 in the Pearl River estuary. As a result of the collision, the cargo ship sank, and two of its 15 crew members remain unaccounted for.
Local authorities have launched search and rescue operations.
Maritime traffic in the area where the ship sank has been temporarily restricted, while the cause of the incident is under investigation.
