A second U.S. F-35 fighter jet has reportedly transmitted a distress signal in less than 24 hours while operating in the Middle East.
The Iranian consulate in India stated that the aircraft altered its course toward the United Arab Emirates and subsequently landed at Al Dhafra Air Base, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Earlier, Tasnim News Agency reported that another F-35 had transmitted a distress code while flying over the Gulf of Oman. Preliminary assessments cited in the report suggested the issue could have been caused by either a technical malfunction or possible damage to the aircraft.
