UAE banks experience service disruptions

Customers of the largest banks in the United Arab Emirates have reported disruptions to digital services.

According to sources cited by TASS, the issues come amid an incident at an Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centre that was reportedly damaged as a result of Iranian strikes.

The mobile application of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), the country’s largest lender, is currently unavailable for some users. When attempting to log in, the system displays an error message asking customers to try again later.

Emirates NBD, the UAE’s second-largest bank, has notified some clients of potential difficulties with alternative service channels.
