UAE bans entry and transit for Iranian citizens
01 April 2026 09:31
The United Arab Emirates has introduced a ban on entry and transit for Iranian citizens amid the ongoing war, according to The Economic Times, citing information from three major airlines.
The restrictions were announced on the official websites of Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Flydubai.
While entry regulations in the UAE can sometimes lack clarity, all three carriers published notices outlining the new restrictions.
According to the information provided, Iranian citizens are barred from entering or transiting through the country. However, holders of UAE “golden visas,” which grant residency for up to 10 years, remain exempt from the ban and are still permitted to enter.
