UAE condemns foiled Hezbollah terror plot in Kuwait
The United Arab Emirates has condemned a foiled terrorist plot in Kuwait linked to Hezbollah, expressing full solidarity with the Gulf state.
In a statement released by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the plot involved a network planning assassinations and recruitment as part of criminal activities threatening Kuwait’s security and stability.

“This concerns the dismantling of a network associated with the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, which was planning assassinations and recruiting individuals as part of dangerous criminal activities threatening the security and stability of the brotherly state of Kuwait. His Highness confirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with the brotherly state of Kuwait and its support for all measures aimed at protecting its security and sovereignty, highly commending the vigilance and effectiveness of the Kuwaiti security services, which successfully prevented this plot and apprehended its participants. He emphasised the UAE’s firm rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism, as well as anything aimed at destabilising the security and stability of states, highlighting the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation to counter such threats,” the statement said.
