UAE condemns second drone attack on consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan
The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned a drone attack targeting its consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan, marking the second such incident within a week.
According to France 24, the condemnation was issued in a statement by the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
“The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned and rejected the treacherous terrorist attack carried out using a drone, which, for the second time in a week, targeted the UAE Consulate General in Iraqi Kurdistan. As a result, two security personnel were injured, and the consulate building sustained damage,” the statement said.
The ministry confirmed that the strike caused injuries to two members of the consulate’s security staff and also damaged the diplomatic facility.
