UAE energy giant ADNOC reports attacks on its facilities
Energy infrastructure across the Middle East, including facilities operated by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, has come under attack, the company’s chief executive, Sultan Al Jaber, said on Thursday, March 19.
In a statement posted on LinkedIn and cited by Iran International, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber described the developments as “an unjustified, unprovoked and unlawful attack on a peaceful country.”
Al Jaber emphasised that the escalation extends beyond the region, characterising it as “not just a regional issue,” but a “global economic war.” He added that energy flows are increasingly being “used as a weapon.”
The statement comes at a time when attacks on energy facilities across the region are intensifying, fueling growing fears about the stability of global energy supplies and markets.
