Since the recent escalation in the region, Iran has launched 174 ballistic missiles and 689 drones targeting the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the UAE Ministry of Defence reported.
“Since the start of the Iranian attacks on our country, 174 ballistic missiles were fired, of which 161 were destroyed and 13 fell into the sea. In addition, 689 Iranian drones were detected, 645 of which were intercepted, while 44 landed on UAE territory,” the ministry said in an official statement.
The ministry added that eight cruise missiles were also destroyed, although some caused damage. According to the latest figures, three people have been killed and 68 others injured in the attacks.
The UAE military emphasized that its air defence systems have successfully neutralized the vast majority of threats, underscoring the ongoing tensions in the Persian Gulf amid heightened Iranian military activity.
