UK expresses solidarity with US after shooting incident in Washington

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has sent a letter to US President Donald Trump expressing support following the shooting at a White House Correspondents’ Association reception in Washington.

The fact of the letter was confirmed by Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Darren Jones in an interview with Sky News.

According to him, the UK is also paying close attention to security arrangements ahead of the upcoming state visit of King Charles III to the United States, scheduled for next week. Jones added that the two countries’ security services continue to work in close coordination.
