UK FM discusses mine clearance in Hormuz with Omani counterpart
UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said she discussed efforts to restore full operations in the Strait of Hormuz, including mine clearance, during a meeting with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.
Sharing a post on X, Cooper said The United Kingdom and Oman enjoy a close and longstanding partnership, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the post, the talks between the two ministers focused on restoring the full operation of the Strait of Hormuz and strengthening regional stability and security.
“Good to meet Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi yesterday. The UK and Oman share a close and longstanding partnership. We discussed work to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, support demining efforts and reinforce stability and security in the region,” she noted.
