UK, Greece team up on defence as Middle East crisis escalates
United Kingdom Defence Secretary John Healey met with Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias in London to discuss regional security and deepening military cooperation.
According to a post from the Greek Ministry of Defence on X, the talks focused on measures to maintain stability and address security challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as developments in Iran, the wider Middle East, Lebanon, and Ukraine.

Both ministers emphasized strengthening defence collaboration between their armed forces, with particular attention to innovation and the deployment of unmanned systems. This effort forms part of “The 2030 Agenda,” a long-term plan aimed at enhancing interoperability and modernizing defence capabilities.
