23 December 2022 16:31
The UK government plans to double the number of Ukrainian servicemen to be involved in training in 2023.
British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace made the remarks while addressing the country's parliament this week, Anadolu reports.
According to him, the Royal Armed Forces are doing everything possible "to develop the combat skills of Ukrainian men and women."
“Training nearly 10,000 people in the UK in 2022, I am committed to ensuring that our Armed Forces, together with our allies, will at least double the number of trainees in 2023. I would like to officially express my gratitude to Canada, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Australia for helping to educate Ukrainians,” he said.
