UK reports new ship attack in Gulf of Aden

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Coordination Centre (UKMTO) of the UK Navy has reported a recent attack on a vessel in the Gulf of Aden.

According to Caliber.Az, the UKMTO shared details of the incident on its social media page X.

"UKMTO has been notified of an incident 195 nautical miles east of Yemen's Aden," the report states.

"Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Vessels are advised to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity to the UKMTO," the centre added.

According to the UKMTO, the incident, which the centre classifies as an attack, occurred at 08:57. Information has been received from the captain of the attacked vessel. No further information about the incident has yet been given.
