UKMTO reports new vessel attack near Yemeni coast Investigation underway

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported a new attack on a vessel off the coast of Yemen, resulting in damage to the vessel.

The incident occurred near the port of Al Mukha, Caliber.Az reports, citing a UKMTO publication on its social media page X.

"UKMTO has received a report of an incident 35 nautical miles south of Al Mukha, Yemen. The Captain reported an explosion in the vicinity of the vessel resulting in damage. The captain reported that the crew was safe. Military authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to the UKMTO," the circulated document said.

The circulated document, however, does not specify the identity of the vessel involved in the incident.
