Ukraine advances long-range weapons development
Ukraine is making significant strides in developing long-range weapons, with the latest tests reported as successful, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Speaking during a video briefing with European Council President António Costa, Zelenskyy stated that the next step will be moving into production, Caliber.Az reports via RBC-Ukraine.
"Ukrainian experts are advancing long-range capabilities. Much has already been developed and tested. The tests were successful. Some of this information is public, some less so. We are indeed facing a major financial challenge. Funding is still insufficient, but we are working on it," he said.
The Ukrainian president emphasised that long-range weapons are a key security guarantee for the country. He also highlighted that joint production with international partners is expanding rapidly.
“The first such production line is being launched in Denmark, and similar facilities will open in other European countries,” Zelenskyy added.
