Ukraine asks Slovakia for more Zuzana 2 artillery gun supplies
Ukraine has sent a request to Slovakia for eleven additional Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery guns.
The remarks came from Slovak Defence Minister Jaroslav Nagy, RBC-Ukraine quotes an online briefing at the Odesa-Ukraine media centre as saying.
“I can say that an agreement was signed for 8 self-propelled guns, they are already in Ukraine. There is also an agreement between Slovakia, Germany, Denmark, and Norway for the supply of another 16 Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery mounts within a year, which will be paid for by these countries,” he said.
Nagy stressed that Slovakia is working on this and will continue to supply self-propelled guns this year.
“Recently, I received information that there is a request from the Ukrainian side for 11 more of these howitzers, we are waiting for the signing of an agreement. We work closely with representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, they visited us last week. I hope we can come to an agreement,” the minister added.
