Ukraine bans hospital power cuts during energy restrictions

The Ukrainian government has issued a decision prohibiting the shutdown of medical facilities during scheduled electricity restrictions, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced.

She wrote on Telegram that it is part of the Cabinet of Ministers’ plan to secure electricity supply for the 2025/26 autumn-winter period, Caliber.Az reports.

“Local authorities are obliged to ensure unconditional compliance with this government decision, and regulatory bodies, including the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate, will carry out inspections for potential violations, including in Lviv. The health and lives of people are not a reason for manipulation or sensational headlines,” PM stated.
